Christensen series, this video is not about a final painting. Rather, a variety of works-in-progress are utilized to demonstrate how ideas develop and evolve over periods of deliberate study. Establishing a Key that Reads

One of the many things that Scott L. Christensen is known for his close value structure. To achieve this, it is important to establish an overall key early on that will be carried throughout the painting. Through this video he will walk you through not only blocking in the painting, but also reworking the entire piece to re-establish his key as per the need of the painting. Only then will he be able to work towards finish.
